TASI Mid-Market Update — January 28, 2026
The Saudi Arabian benchmark index, Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA), showed positive momentum during Wednesday’s early trading session, gaining 0.4%. This advance follows a strong performance on Tuesday, where the index hit its highest close in nearly three months.

The market’s upward trajectory is supported by a combination of robust corporate earnings and supportive energy prices:
Banking Sector Strength: Alinma Bank(1150.SA) saw a significant rise of 2.6%. The gain followed the bank's announcement of a sharp increase in annual net profit. Furthermore, the board of directors recommended a 20% capital increase through the issuance of bonus shares (one bonus share for every five held), aimed at strengthening the bank's financial solvency.
Energy Sector Support: Shares of Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) rose 1.2%. The gains in the energy giant align with firmer global crude prices.
Crude prices served as a catalyst for regional markets on Wednesday. Gains were driven by lingering supply concerns following winter storms that disrupted U.S. output, alongside heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
For other large-caps, ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) rises 1%, while Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) down by 0.4%.
